UEB’s lecturer participate in joint research at Goettingen University, Germany

Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong Lien worked with Prof. Fabian Froese (Goettingen University)
Within the framework of KITFEM project funded by European Union on Knowledge Exchange and Innovation in Emerging Markets, Nguyen Thi Huong Lien - Lecturer, Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, VNU University of Economics and Business has participated in a research exchange program at Goettingen University in the Federal Republic of Germany within a month from 15th Oct 2018. UEB is the only partner in Vietnam to participate in the project.


KITFEM project is designed to study how knowledge management and innovation in emerging markets work as well as to learn lessonsfrom developed countries in promoting innovation, creation and transfer of knowledge in European Union. With the participation of 15 partners from 9 countries around the world, KITFEM combines research on knowledge and innovation among emerging markets with European businesses,andshare and disseminates knowledge around the world to enhance the impact of European innovation. Project has involvedparticipation of 54 researchers, administrators, scientists and management to enhance exchanges between the scientific community and other stakeholders including research institutes, business and social community. With the scale ofproject and competitive advantage of15 participating partners, KITFEM project is expected to generate significant global impact both academically and socially.

 

Goettingen University, commonly referred to as Georgia Augusta in Goettingen city near the center of Germany, is one of the leading universities in Germany and Europe. In 2007, Goettingen University was selected as one of the nine outstanding German universities and consistently received major research grants fromGerman Ministry of Education and Research. In 2010, Goettingen University was ranked 43rd among the 200 best universities in the world and ranked eighth among European universities.

Participating in the KITFEM project, UEB’s lecturer also seeks for partnership development in joint research, organization of international seminars, exchanges of undergraduate and postgraduate students, organizing short-term training courses between the two sides. The establishment of cooperation with a leading university of Germany is a vivid proof for the implementation of the goal of education internationalization of VNU University of Economics and Business.
