UEB’s lecturer joins the Fulbright U.S-ASEAN Visiting Scholar program 2018

In October 2018, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Dean of Faculty of Finance and Banking, VNU University of Economics and Business came to the Manning School of Business, University of Massachusetts Lowell, USA (UMASS) to work and do research for 4 months following the scholarship of the Fulbright U.S-ASEAN Visiting Scholar Program.


As one of 10 lecturers representing the ASEAN countries, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu undertakes the0 research on "Corporate Governance in Banking - US Experience after global financial crisis and lessons for ASEAN countries". This is a topic of in-depth study of corporate governance research in banking in ASEAN countries led by the strong research group in 2018-2019.

This is a good opportunity for UEB;s lecturer to experience the international standard research environment as well as learn from American professors. Within the course, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu is expected to connect and find opportunities for student and lecturer exchange, cooperation in training and research between VNU University of Economics and Business and American universities.

 

The Manning School of Business, ranked no. 200 in the United States. Each year, the college educates about 1000 undergraduates, 1,500 graduate students and 10 PhD students. The alumni network includes thousands of alumni, and the funding from the school's successful alumni has reached tens of millions of dollars to support the school's facilities.
