Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Minh Cuong presented the project on opening Master training program in Management and Business in Arts and Culture

The strength of Vietnam National University, Hanoi is that it is possible to develop interdisciplinary programs based on the cooperation between its member institutions. The choice of opening a new Master’s Degree in Management and Business in Arts and Culture has contributed to implementing the Communist Party's resolution on cultural market development (Resolution 33/NQ-TU issued in 2014 on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people in order to meet the requirements of Vietnam’s sustainable development) and showed the pioneering role of Vietnam National University in training high-level human resources.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Hoai Son - Director of Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS) reviewed the project

At the workshop, scientists and managers assumed that the program would provide the learners with necessary background knowledge to participate in cultural and artistic management as a more effective manager at macro-level or business manager of cultural products. The program will be more practical if more modules on such subjects as organizing events and traditional and modern cultural festivals, performing arts, game shows and cultural industries are added, meanwhile, modules that are closely related to each other in both management and culture are cut down. It is hoped that after being approved by Vietnam National University, the program will provide a high quality program for managers, leaders and policy makers in the field of culture and arts.

At the end of the workshop, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le thanked the lecturers for their contribution to the workshop and remind the designers that they should seriously take into considerations the comments and advice from the lecturers and experts to review and complete the program.
