End of working days of experts from Lincoln University and Swinburne University at the UEB

The experts on a day trip to Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam
From 15th to 17th August 2017, VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) welcomed experts and researchers in finance from University of Lincoln (The UK) and Swinburne University (Australia) to work at the university.


During the working visit, the experts from University of Lincoln and Swinburne University took part in various activities with staff and lecturers of the UEB

The first activity was a roundtable on "Financial advisers" given by Dr. Siobhan Goggy - Head of Accounting and Finance Division, University of Lincoln. The expert discussed the issues of the stock market, real estate after the global financial crisis as well as presented a number of management and financial adviser issues that had attracted attention and active discussion from participants, including students as well as faculty staff from UEB.

On 16th August 2017, the UEB and University of Lincoln co-organized the international conference on "Financing for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Renewable Energy Development", at SunWah Building 144, Xuan Thuy Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi. The conference was combined with the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the UEB and University of Lincoln. The MOU signed between two sides is the fruitful result of the process of understanding and cooperation in scientific research starting from 2016, including a visit of Assoc.Prof. Tran Thi Thanh Tu at University of Lincoln in 2016. According to this bilateral cooperation agreement, UEB - VNU and Lincoln University will cooperate in research, especially in the field of green finance and finance for startups. In addition, Lincoln University will support the development of a bachelor program and a master program of high-quality at the UEB.

 
 
The international conference on "Financing for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Renewable Energy Development" 

The series of events ended with a city tour around Hanoi on the morning of August 17, 2017. The delegation of foreign experts was brought to the Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi and Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam. Although it was raining, experts were very excited and shared that this would be a very special experience - visiting the first university of Hanoi on a rainy day. The visit has left a good impression on international friends about culture and hospitality of Vietnamese people.
