Receiving the delegation of UEB’s leaders were Mr. Mai Tien Dung - Member of the Central Party, Secretary of the provincial Committee and Chairman of the provincial People Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hien, Mr. Bui Quang Cam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee; leaders of the functional departments and offices.


At the People's Committee of Ha Nam, Mr. Mai Tien Dung introduced to the UEB the situation of social and economic development of Ha Nam Province; mentioning the lessons learned in leadership and management of the province; obstacles and challenges, goal, task and development orientation of the province in the coming time. Mr. Mai Tien Dung said, in order to meet the requirements of the industrialization and modernization cause and international integration, it’s the key task of the province to develop cooperation activities, application of advanced technology and enhance the highly qualified human resources. This is also an important content set out in the human resources development plan of Ha Nam Province in 2011-2020.


Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son expressed particular concern for the activities of Ha Nam province - a strategic partner of VNU, also a province with typical development orientation. Rector of the UEB highly valued the outstanding achievements that Ha Nam has achieved in recent years. The direction, goals, tasks and resolutions for the period 2015 - 2020 showed the determination  toward sustainable development of the province, with consideration of inter-regional and international link. He stressed that with potential and strengths of the UEB in the field of training, scientific and policy research as well as transfer of research results to the government, the UEB is willing to cooperate, support and share experiences with Ha Nam Provincial People in the activities of human resource training, consultation in policymaking, technology transfer, research activities etc.

Mr. Mai Tien Dung expressed his appreciation for proposal and suggestions of cooperation from the UEB. He hoped that the two sides will soon implement particular cooperative activities in the areas of training, consulting and technology transfer. After the meeting, the cooperation plan will be drafted in the MOU and implemented in the nearest time.

The VNU-UEB has collaborated with some provinces, local enterprises to deploy many short-term training courses, consultancy contracts and cooperation projects. These are important steps in gradually achieving the objectives of practical training and research, transfer of research results to the government, organizations, businesses and society of the UEB. In cooperation with Ha Nam province, the UEB has implemented the training program of Master in Economic Management; organization of project "Research and application of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) management model for Public Service unit of Ha Nam Province". This working visit and survey will contribute to the expansion of practical cooperation with the province, bringing the relations to a new height.
