On 9th July 2015, the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) had a meeting with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Attending the meeting, from the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Anh Tai - Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development and leaders of Faculty of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Accounting and Auditing. From the ICAEW, there was Ms. Dang Mai Trang - Head of ICAEW Vietnam.
Opening the meeting, Ms. Dang Mai Trang introduced to the UEB about the ICAEW and ICAEW certificates. Expressing the wish to cooperate with the UEB, Ms. Dang Mai Trang proposed the plan of cooperation, including building and enhancing brand images of the two organizations, linkage between academic and professional training in the field of finance-accounting and quality improvement of training programs following international standards.

At the meeting, leaders of the UEB appreciated the cooperation plan that representatives of ICAEW proposed and expressed the willing to implement cooperation activities in the future.
After meeting with leaders of the University, representatives of ICAEW then had deep discussions with Heads of Office of Research and Partnership Development and faculties about some cooperation activities possible to apply within the academic year of 2015 - 2016.
