UEB delegates attended a conference on trade and investment relationship between Taiwan and Vietnam

Representatives of VNU-UEB took memorial photos with speakers at conference
On 24 and 25 April 2014, the group of academic staff from the Faculty of International Business and Economics and Faculty of Development Economics led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Van Hoi - Dean of Faculty of International Business and Economics, attended a conference on "Trade and Investment Relationship between Taiwan and Vietnam" held by the National Taichung University of Education in Taiwan.


Joining the conference also were representatives from the Science and Technology Department and Planning-Finance Department, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU).
The conference took place under the framework of cooperative protocols between Taiwan and Vietnam in 2014, which was assigned to VNU-UEB by the Ministry of Science & Technology and VNU. The conferencesets up the fundamentals for the two universities to build the analytical framework and specific research methods for the joint research projects that will be submittedfor approval to the Ministry of Science and Technology of two countries in 2015.
On two days of the conference, the scholars from Vietnam and Taiwan sharedplenty of similarities in their study in the trade and investment relationship between Vietnam - Taiwan as well as the general research approach methods. The presentations in the workshop byVNU-UEB’sgroup drew the attention and high appreciation from the international professors, studentsand delegates attending the conference. The Organizational Board of the workshop encouraged the speakers from VNU-UEB to keepimproving and accomplishing their papers which was presented at the conference to hand in the SCOPUS journal system of Taiwan.

At the same time, the delegation had a meeting with Mr. Yang Szu-Wei, Rector of the National Taichung University of Education. The two institutions havediscussed on possible areas of cooperation including: research, training, staff/student exchange...
With the information, knowledge, documents acquired from workshops and discussions with leaders of the National Taichung University of Education, the tripplays very important rolein implementingthe joint research projects under the framework of cooperative protocols between Taiwan and Vietnam; also contributed to open opportunities for collaboration between VNU-UEB and the National Taichung University of Education.
