UEB Rector receives Singapore Deputy Chief of Mission

On 17 April, 2014, the UEB Rector Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son received and had a talke with Deputy Chief of Mission Raymond Chow, the Singapore Embassy in Hanoi.


Joining with the UEB Rector were Vice Rector Dr. Nguyen Truc Le, Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development and some staff of the university.
At the working session, Mr. Raymond Chow highly appreciated the development direction of the university, which pays attention to training and research quality. He shared that he had heard about the UEB before and was impressed with the strategy of the university. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son discussed with the Deputy Chief of Mission about research projects and major international conference held by the university.

The two sides agreed to launch cooperation and exchange activity of administration and university autonomy. In particular, the Embassy will provide information about the training courses for leaders of the UEB to attend. Discussing about some academic issues, Mr. Raymond Chow shared that Singapore would frequently send lecturer, specialists to come to deliver lecture or research at the UEB. Asso.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son emphasized the university’s interesting fields which they desire to learn from Singapore's experience were public administration and service sector.
Reportedly, Singapore has the largest foreign direct investment among ASEAN countries and ranks as the second largest investor in Asia, after Japan.
