The International Scientific Conference entitled Emerging Economies in Transition, organized by the Cracow University of Economics along with the Committee on Financial Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Society for the Study of Emerging Markets, in cooperation with University of Houston-Downtown (United States), Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary), University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University (Hanoi, Vietnam), Can Tho University (Can Tho, Vietnam).
This conference is an opportunity for bringing
together a wide range of researchers representing academic centers from Vietnam, the United States,
Central and East European countries, as well as business practitioners and representatives of
public institutions of key significance to the functioning of economies and financial systems.
The conference also provides a platform for the exchange of views on economic processes and
phenomena in the contemporary world, giving special attention to the “emerging” economies which
have undergone the process of transformation in the last decades. The particular sessions and
panel discussions will enable their participants to present the results of their research and to
discuss the major problems and challenges faced by the economies and companies of developing countries.
