In order to improve the role of financial inclusion for people, on March 3, lecturers of Faculty of Finance - Banking, University of Economics & Business - Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and lecturers of Faculty of Finance - Banking, Thuongmai University organized a workshop to discuss and talk about the current state of global personal finance as well as promote the quality of financial literacy in Vietnam.
Attending the seminar, Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Van - Vice Dean of Faculty of Finance – Banking in UEB - VNU; Assoc. Dr. Le Thi Kim Nhung, Dean of the Faculty of Finance – Banking in TMU and teachers of the two departments.
During the seminar, Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Van affirmed that the importance of financial inclusion is not only a trend but also an important factor in developing people's understanding of finance. She has presented how her research group gained in the field of personal finance and achievements in applying personal finance theory to the lives of Vietnamese people through the publication of books, magazines and games. with each appropriate age of each person: from children to students, adults or the elderly.
Also during the discussion, the members gave their supportive comments, at well as confirmation of the power of financial inclusion in developed countries all over the world. However, there still exist some problem to overcome financial inclusion in Vietnam such as policies, perceptions, experiences, and many other factors. Therefore, improving financial literacy can be done through a variety of methods and needs to be approached to every corner of social issues, in the most positive way.
