Opening the ceremony, Assoc.Prof - Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Dean of the FFB has reported results of planned tasks of the academic year 2014 - 2015. In 2014-2015, the FFB has received attentions and supports from Party committees, managing board and the departments, sections and functions of the school's center in all aspects. The activities of scientific research (SR) and the Faculty’s training has developed in the right direction and strategy of the Faculty. A.Prof - Ph.D. Tran Thi Thanh Tu stated firmly: "The teachers are experienced, hard working, efficiency, dynamism and enthusiasm in all the assigned tasks are the main cause leading to the success of the 2014-2015 period."

Training activities of the Department noted the results achieved are as follows: opening new specialized master's Administrative for financial institutions, convertible master training program oriented applications, adjusting Bachelor programs and Advanced programs of the FFB... Faculty of Finance and Banking is one of the pioneers in developing the master training program following market demands. Short-term training of scientific breakthroughs demonstrated by successfully organizing short-term training courses for leader of banking and the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam, received high praise from the experts, students participating in the program.

Research activities of the Department this year has achieved remarkable success: Attracting more external funding for the implementation and deployment of the projects and major projects such as the 600 million international projects by World Bank funding, 780 million for NAFOSTED topic, 730 million for theses Hung Yen and 150 million for international seminars. Faculty’s contribution and support school initiatives successfully organized the international seminar "International Finance and Banking" attracted nearly 200 scholars from prestigious universities. The subject group A, B, C of the Faculty are implemented on schedule. Year 2014-2015 exceeded the 2015 target of scientific research works in international journals with 4 posts including 2 post were from students. Scientific research student achievement highlights: Highest Award of Scientific Research for school level. Especially, in the website, the Faculty has actively editing and finishing Vietnamese website, news are updated weekly. In addition, the Faculty of Finance – Banking‘s is the first to have English website and is taking steps to update the news for the English web.

With such outstanding achievements, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Research & Infrastructure Development has stated, the school year 2014 - 2015 is the Year that Finance – Banking Department has boom and groundbreaking than previously. The development cooperation activities and training of the faculty are developed and received positive feedbacks from partners and learners. Ph.D. Canh Chi Dung - Head of Human Resources also said that the Department has mounted the mission and vision of the Faculty with the University's mission and vision, and tied to reality, to the market.

Following is the speech of D.r Nguyen Anh Thu – Vice Principal, according to Mr. Nguyen Anh Thu, Faculty of Finance and Banking is a comprehensive developing department, shown in training products, products of scientific research and development cooperation. The international newspapers, international conferences of Sciences have higher spread and is appreciated in the society and is highlighted in scientific research as well as development cooperation. Short-term training activities in cooperation with the Faculty of Business Administration of the University and international lecturers have been very successful, received much positive feedbacks from students.

In the ceremony, Assoc. Prof – Ph.D. Nguyen Hong Son – The principal praised the results achieved in 2014 – 2015 of Finance and Banking Department, especially in the creative, high initiative of Dean Board. The principal said Finance and Banking Department needed to maintain and promote the results achieved, simultaneously, strengthen connections to businesses, banks, organizations and localities to confirm and enhance the brand. In the long term, the Department should clearly identify specific development of the Faculty towards greater autonomy. Regarding scientific research, the Faculty should take research results into the training process and engage with the international team. Regarding development cooperation, the Faculty is looking for strategic partners, long-term domestically and internationally. Overall assessment, in 2014 - 2015, the Faculty TCNH completed the task of the academic year 2014-2015.
