VNU University of Economics and Business and I myself would like to welcome all of you to Global Partnership of Asian Colleges (GPAC) 2019 in Hanoi. It is the third time, VNU University of Economics and Business become the host of GPAC here in Hanoi. We all know that GPAC, which was first organized in 1991, is a forum for students and lecturers of universities in Asia with the purpose of sharing, and exchanging knowledge as well as national culture. Over 28 years of growth and development, GPAC which has now become an annual special and interesting event, has provided wonderful opportunities to all participants for sharing with each other their experiences, knowledges and skills.

This year, the students will have chance to present their ideas and thoughts about political, economic, social and cultural issues in the region and the world under the theme of “Digital Economies in Asia”, which is hot topic in the era of industrial revolution 4.0.

As the host University for GPAC 2019, we are applying ourselves to make a prosperous and memorable conference for each participant. I hope the GPAC 2019 shall provide all students, professors and staffs coming from different Asian countries excellent opportunities to build a strong friendship and to enhance the leadership for the future Asian leaders through academic and delightful activities. In addition, I hope with precious experiences from GPAC 2019, students can develop their career in the future to work as global citizens.
