How do GenZ students understand digital transformation? How do students properly and sufficiently understand this new concept? The answer is available at the seminar "Gen Z with a digital transformation mindset" organized by the School of Business Administration, VNU University of Economics and Business, in collaboration with Viettel Academy and VNU Scientists Club was held on November 6th, 2021.
The seminar had the participation of speaker Dr. Bui Quang Tuyen - Director of Viettel Academy and nearly 600 guests including lecturers and students of the UEB and member faculties and schools of VNU.
Opening the event, Dr. Luu Thi Minh Ngoc – Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration, said: “Digital transformation is an inevitable trend now and in the near future. It needed to mobilize all social forces for Vietnam to successfully transform digitally. In particular, Gen Z is a potential workforce, the generation that will determine the success of the digital transformation. I hoped that this event will connect students and give practical knowledge about digital transformation, helping Gen Z students understand their role, their responsibilities in the new era."

The seminar was divided into topic discussion and in-depth analysis to help students understand the background knowledge and "practical problems" at enterprises when moving towards the digital transformation revolution. In the first topic of "Recognizing the context of digital transformation", Dr. Bui Quang Tuyen - Director of Viettel Academy gave an overview of the context and emphasized the complexity and rapid change of digital transformation in modern life.

The second topic offered the "Basic understanding of digital transformation", clarifying the current situation of digital transformation and levels of digital transformation (Data Digitalization - Digitization processes - Transformation of management/business model). Dr. Bui Quang Tuyen also gave practical examples of digital transformation in VOSO.vn, Grab, ByDayLearning to help the students understand digital transformation in business.
