On 19th September 2017, 5 lecturers and 6 students of VNU University of Economics and Business were honored to receive the awards and scholarships from In Sewa Charity Foundation at the ceremony honoring Dr. Rikhi Thakral - Managing Director of Thakral Group and Founder of In Sewa Charity Foundation for his contribution to development of VNU.
The medal was presented to Mr. Rikhipal Singh Thakral in recognition of his contribution to the development of VNU.
The Thakral - In Sewa scholarship is funded by In Sewa Charity Foundation, awarded to students with disabilities; orphan; students from difficult families achieving good academic results. This is the sixth year the scholarships have been awarded to students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son gives speech at the ceremony Attending the ceremony, there were Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President of VNU, Head of offices and functional departments of VNU; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector of VNU University of Economics and Business; Assoc.Prof. Vu Hoang Linh - Vice Rector of VNU University of Natural Sciences, Dr. Nguyen Duc Huy - Vice Rector of the VNU University of Education together with lecturers and 28 students receiving the scholarships. From Thakral Group, there were Dr. Rikhi Thakral - Managing Director and Founder of Insewa Charity Foundation, Mr. Arvinder Singh Bedi - Sales and Marketing Manager of Thakral Group in Singapore and Mr. D.S.Negi - Representatives of Thakral in Ho Chi Minh City.

Dr. Rikhi Thakral speaks at the ceremony This year, three students of the UEB continued to receive the scholarships, including: Nguyen Anh Hao, Phung Thi Xuan Huong (class QH-2012-E Business Administration) and Le Quang Long (QH-2013- E Business Administration); three other students, including Luu Thi Ngoc Bich (QH-2015-E Accounting and Auditing); Hoang Duc Chinh (QH-2016-E International Business and Economics) and Bui Thi Huong Giang (QH-2015-E Business Administration) received the scholarships for the first time.

Students of UEB receive the scholarships Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between In Sewa Ltd and VNU University of Economics and Business signed on 7th March, 2014; five lecturers of the UEB (with papers published in ISI/Scopus database) also received awards from Thakral - In Sewa.
The scholarships and rewards are encouragement for efforts of UEB’s lecturers and students in study, research and social activities. It also strengthens the partnership between VNU University of Economics and Business and Thakral Group.
