UEB continued to welcome a delegation of students and lecturers from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
On December 6-7, 2022, welcoming a delegation of nearly 30 students and lecturers from the University of Social Sciences of Singapore, Dr. Nguyen Duc Lam - Research and Partnership Development expressed his pleasure, welcomed the delegation to the UEB – VNU.

In the first session, the international class of UEB and SUSS students was warmed up by an energetic lecture from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi - Director of the Institute of Skills Education and Creative Intelligence, Lecturer. Member of Faculty of Economics and International Business with the topic "Doing Business in Vietnam".
The lecture includes many interesting contents associated with the practice of business activities in Vietnam, in order to provide more in-depth knowledge on: how Vietnam's geographical advantages affect the economy and economy. How has Vietnam's economy developed dramatically after the Covid-19 pandemic, the population, the average income of Vietnamese people, import-export business activities, tourism, etc.
Dr. Nguyen Thu Hai - Lecturer of the Institute of Business Administration gave students a lecture about "Startup ecosystem of Vietnam" - explaining what makes Vietnam attractive to investors. abroad, introducing the startup ecosystem, as well as the entrepreneurial spirit of Vietnamese people. In the afternoon, the students continued to participate in a special workshop of Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong Lien - Vice Dean of Accounting and Auditing Faculty, UEB - VNU.
In order for students to connect and create together, Ms. Huong Lien randomly arranges class members into 6 groups. This is an opportunity for UEB-ers and SUSS-ers to get acquainted to each other. The students showed their dynamism, creativity, wit and youthfulness in group names and separate slogans such as: Cat group – Slogan “meow”; Group Hi 5; Group of Girls; Group Hanoi Under – “Under Hanoi”; Group 6C – “Born to be Sexy”; Group “Two good to be true”.
Design lessons range from individual challenges, pair work to group challenges. Each challenging stage, the students will have to use their intelligence, creativity, agility and language ability to complete the assigned tasks. Challenges include: (1) Identifying yourself through Growth mindset and Fixed mindset; (2) Creating stories through pictures; (3) Build towers with marshmallows.
Meaningful messages were conveyed by the students through creative stories such as: Cherish the beauty inside; Everything is impossible; Don't cook your own pet (Don't cook your own pet)…
After challenging tasks, Ms. Huong Lien wraps up the class with a succinct summary of the important soft skills Gen Z needs to be ready to face change, ready to take action to thrive. better in this day and age – It's a 4C skill, including: Creativity: creative skill; Critical Thinking: critical thinking; Collaboration: cooperation and teamwork skills; Communication: communication skills.
Discover Vietnamese businesses - a new experience for Singapore students
On the second day of the Study tour in Vietnam, UEB brought Singaporean students to participate in practical experience activities at Bach Khoa Hanoi Technology Development and Investment Joint Stock Company (BK-Holdings) – Model The first enterprise was established at a university in Vietnam. Here, the students heard about eJoy's startup journey from the speaker - Ms. Diep Bui, Co-Founder of eJoy Learning; Vietnam's startup ecosystem from Mr. Pham Tuan Hiep - Incubation Director, BK Holdings; Director of BK Fund.
Real experiences and stories from Vietnamese startups make Singaporean students excited, and constantly ask questions to accumulate more knowledge such as principles, applied theories to offer a business model, ways to attract investment capital...
The next place in the learning and discovery journey of Singapore students is the National Innovation Center – NIC. The students listened to Mr. Do Tien Thinh - Deputy Director of the Center and Ms. Trinh Hong Thu Trang - Human Resource Development Department share about the formation process, the specific mechanisms and policies of the Center. Accordingly, NIC becomes the driving force to promote the combination, connection, and actors in the innovation ecosystem including institutes, schools, state sector, business sector and foreign partners...
In addition, the students also had the opportunity to visit the Digital Experience Center at NIC with 3D technology models, modern devices and models to enhance the digital experience...
The study tour brought many practical and useful lessons, helping international students understand more about Vietnam's economy, culture, society and people, leaving deep impressions and memories.
